Watched Twilight when it came out, been intrigued by the cover of the promos.
But dissappointed with the action pack, which is almost none and the vampires are so different from the usual ones we know; no fangs, glittery skin against the sun..
I guess that book's written from the perspective of the girl who loved the vamp, which really sux cos I read that some lines were so sappy, the main actress refused to read em aloud.
She might've used some lines as emotion, which explains a lot of the confusion I saw on screen. The book's overflowing with mixed emotions, which is pretty tough to portray on movie, which I guess why many many good looking ppl were recruited.
Anyway, for the new casts involved with the whole Twilight thing, I'm sure it's been a fun ride. With the movie making almost 6X profit from it's original budget, which mainly made from hormonal teens or couples or fans of the books who watched it more than once.
I'm pretty sure the franchise would do well cos the world is overloaded with rich teens with nowhere to spend. Just remember to try out Asian countries like Korea, Japan, Taiwan..will earn right off the roof. I'm sure the exec producers most probably be laughing in their cash flowing pool while clinking champagne glasses to another deal of cheap scripts and cheaper promos (lotsa fans are helping to spread the words).
It's a sad thing looking at the youngsters in Hollywood amidst all those fame, and when I said fame, it's usually what vices are opened to those monthly flavors like drugs, parties, drinks, open arms of fans world wide.
I really hope that the Pattinson guy wouldnt follow the act of Jude Law cos I can somehow foresee sex scandals and minor acting ahead. Cos then his acting life will be shortlived.
I'm sure LA is like the city of constant partying and where all the popular girls and boys (or plastic-enhanced) hang out.
I just hope that with all those armful resources available, the scripts would get better and the gagging materials would be reduced.
But, I guess not, as long as the cash comes rolling in, who really cares what the scripts are like. Heck, I mean during bad economy like now, movies like Beverly Hills Chihuahua as making box office.
I guess tinseltown is like a gold mine where ppl rush in, except it's all an illusion and everybody's living somebody else's dreams and nobody gets off in one piece.
Fame..oh, what shallow fun.
